Become a Volunteer at the Grosse Ile Animal Shelter

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and are welcome during the Shelter's regular hours.
All volunteers must sign a waiver of liability.
We promote socialization of the animals. Volunteers do everything from animal care and clean up to walking dogs, socializing scared kittens, brushing animals, etc. Jobs may be limited by the Animal Control Officer's assessment.
All volunteers are trained by other experienced volunteers or by the Animal Control Officer.
